This lovely and delicate anklet features fiery Ethiopian opals alongside warm rainbow sapphires. The opals are approximately 4 mm and lightly faceted and have a dazzling color to them. The rainbow sapphires provide an ombré effect shifting from yellow, topaz, peach and pink. They are spaced with tiny rose gold fill beads.

The lovely clasp is a 14 karat rose goldfill lobster clasp.

A quick lesson about opals:

Opals are hydrophane, which means they love water and absorb it rapidly. Body oils, perfumes, lotions, etc can be absorbed in the opals and cause the color to change to yellow/brown and lose the fire. Therefore, Ethiopian Opal items need to be worn and cared for with caution. They are a soft stone, much like pearls and need to be treated with care. Try to avoid getting the opals wet (no hot tubs, oceans and showers😉)
